Children’s Choir
We’re putting Kids First! Our music ministry invites you and your children to stay after 11 am worship (grab snacks first!) twice a month so kids can spend an hour singing unto the Lord and preparing to share their gifts the first Sunday of each month at 11 am worship. Rehearsals will typically be 3rd & 4th Sundays.
Peace Devotional Book
It’s here! The second Peace Devotional Book is ready for you! Special thanks to our dearly departed Shari Shelton and the Writing Group for pulling together the reflections and writings in this very large book (over 500 pages), and thanks to all who contributed! Cost is a donation of $20 or more (actual cost per book was $50). If you would like a book and the cost is a hardship, please contact Pastor John. We also have a few of the first Peace Devotional Books available for purchase for $20. To buy a book, contact the church office.
Thursday Community Bible Study
Pastor John facilitates a Community Bible Study in the church Conference Room and online on Teams (your choice) Thursdays 1-2 pm on the scripture readings for worship the following Sunday. We read scripture, share conversation, and pray as we listen for God to speak to us & through us. Email Pastor John for Teams link.
We’re taking a break for Christmas, to resume Thursday January 8 at 1 pm.
Sunday, January 25: For Such a Time As This Worship
Late last spring an invitation was extended for those interested in meeting to discuss the changing nature and goals of our nation’s leadership and the impact that change was having on people’s lives, especially the lives of the most vulnerable populations in our country. We titled the group, For Such a Time As This, a phrase taken from the Book of Esther, indicating that God has placed a call on all of our lives to have faith, to take courage, to love, value and support all people, at all times, and especially for such a time as this! But how? To answer that question 18 Peace folks have met monthly to share, pray, learn, and support each other in taking faith-filled action for the sake of Jesus’ values. Relying on the Spirit, we will share our laments, hopes, and experiences at both worship services on Sunday January 25. Please make every effort to be there as we listen to Scripture, praise God in music, pray and celebrate the reality that none of us is alone and none of us is powerless, at such a time as this.
Sunday February 1: Global Mission Sunday
In worship we celebrate God’s work to bless and save the whole world. We hear music and sing songs from many countries and cultures, celebrate the diversity of God’s children, and lift up the work of global partners in ministry!
Friday Morning Men’s Fellowship
7–8:30 am every Friday at the new classroom across the alley from Peace Lutheran Church. All men are welcome. Bible study, fellowship, and prayer support. Contact Malcolm Carroll with question or just show up.

Immigration Conversation Presentation
Did you miss the after worship conversation when members of the Anti-Racism Work Group led us in a conversation about new policies about immigration, what ICE can and cannot do, what individuals have the right to, and what strategies we can employ as a church body? Check out the presentation here. More info to come.
Anti-Racism Toolkit
We are working on ways to be intentionally inclusive and equitable within our church community and beyond. The Anti-Racism Work Group has developed this anti-racism toolkit to allow all of us to explore concrete ways to weave anti-racist practices into our church life. Please check it out and learn more about it this fall in Sunday Faith Education classes.
Anti-Racism Book Resource Library
The Anti-Racism Work Group has rolled out a book cart with their recommended anti-racism books to borrow for your personal growth and deeper understanding. Check it out on Sundays in the multipurpose room.
Children’s Worship
Children’s Worship is offered in person during 11 am worship. Children are invited to the basement classroom (with air purification) after the scripture readings for a special Godly Play Bible story and response time, and then they will return to the sanctuary to join their family for the time of Holy Communion.
2026 Ministry Plan and Annual Report
If you haven’t seen a copy of these documents distributed at the Annual Congregational Meeting, check them out using the links above or find copies on the table outside the sanctuary. God is doing great things in and through Peace Lutheran Church! Thanks be to God!
Future Directions of Peace Lutheran Church
We have been asking, as followers of Jesus, how is God calling us to do God’s work, to love God and love our neighbor, at this time and in this place? A foundational commitment to anti-racism and a group of recommendations have arisen from this Future Directions discernment process. Please pray for our church as we seek to live out these Future Directions, and please consider how you will “get in where you fit in.”
