Inreach Ministry

The Apostle Paul writes, “Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4
God’s vision for Peace is to be a community that is compassionate. Compassion means nonjudgmental and inclusive of all people and reaching out in care to help those who are vulnerable, struggling or suffering. Compassion includes ministries to those within the worshiping community (inreach).

Inreach Ministry Opportunities

Care Ministry
A ministry that involves care to the congregation, their friends, and family by providing support in times of trouble, sadness, healing, and joy. As part of this ministry, cards (hand-made by the Peace family) are sent to provide prayers, encouragement and thanks. We also try to help individuals with basic needs, such as getting them to appointments, running errands, and finding resources to help resolve issues. We make hospital and home visits every week (especially to those who are shut-ins). You can request a visit or response from the Care Ministry by contacting Jeanie Correa, Care Ministry Coordinator, at careministryatpeace@gmail.com.
The following are more specific ministries within Care Ministry at Peace.
Card Ministry
A ministry of writing and sending cards to people in the community at birthdays, illnesses, anniversaries of weddings and deaths. Card-Shelton-Front Card-Shelton-Inside Dear Members of the Peace Cardmaking Group, Thank you so much for the card you sent Art for his 93rd birthday! It is truly one of the best cards I’ve ever seen. Also, your cards earlier on during this time of the Covid 19 virus, were spots of great joy and encouragement to us all. They are treasured we still display and read often. What a ministry your dear group has, and so many are touched by it. May God’s peace and light rest with you today in a mighty way, Shari, Art, & Alan Shelton
