Intergenerational Ministry

“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

We believe faith is passed on by the power of the Holy Spirit through personal trusted relationships, often from one generation to another. We are an intergenerational community, an extended family, in which children of the church experience the love and encouragement of many elders – and in which the elders of the church are blessed and encouraged by children and youth. We offer special intergenerational ministry opportunities, often coordinated by our Intergenerational Outreach Coordinator, to intentionally bring together the generations for fun, fellowship, service, learning, growth and faith-sharing.

If you are interested in joining any of these programs, please contact Intergenerational Ministry Coordinator Jae Bates at jae@peacecommunitycenter.org.

Intergenerational Opportunities

Sunday Worship – Sundays, 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.
Every time we gather for worship on Sundays at Peace, many generations come together to listen to God’s Word, receive Holy Communion, and share fellowship, prayer and blessing as we are sent out to live and serve in God’s world.

Some themes have been Fat Tuesday, Paint Night, Pancake Dinner, Easter Eggstravaganza, Harvest Festival/Trunk-or-Treat, Christmas Craft/Family Tree Day, Movie Night and Game Night. These events are always a great time for families – and are always FREE!
Family Day at Peace Community Celebration – Sunday afternoon in summer
Friends and neighbors of Peace gather for a Family Day at Peace (in place of a Block Party). Free food, fellowship, fun and community connections! Free school supplies!
