Anglican Church of South Sudan

Associated Ministries

Associated Ministries is an interfaith organization partnering with churches and interfaith communities to unite people of faith to build a stronger community that is humane, compassionate, and just. As a crossroad for communication and cooperation, Associated Ministries engages and equips congregations and others to address the many needs in Pierce County through advocacy, education and service.

Bread for the World

Peace is a Bread for the World congregation. Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad.

Conversations Around Race

A partnership between four Tacoma area congregations, we seek to provide interactive experiences and events for spiritual growth through sharing and open dialogue about culture and race. Other participating congregations are Trinity Presbyterian Church, Church of the Indian Fellowship, and the Tacoma Friends Meeting.

Davis African Mission

Peace church members “Davis” and Jennifer Davis and daughters Tovah and Lami serve Christ in Africa by embedding themselves in the local culture and interacting with a different world religion.

A comprehensive and sustainable program using multiple strategies – relief, development, education, advocacy – to address root causes of hunger and poverty domestically and globally.

Peace is a member congregation of the ELCA. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has three expressions – nearly 10,000 congregations, 65 synods, and the churchwide organization.

Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia

Together with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia is a Lutheran church body in southern Africa with whom our Southwestern Washington Synod is in a companion synod relationship.

Faith Action Network

Peace is an Advocating Congregation. We are part of a network of other congregations organized by the advocacy organization Faith Action Network to lift our voices on behalf of the vulnerable in our society and world to political decision makers and people in positions of power.

Family Housing Network

The purpose of the Family Housing Network is to help families experiencing homelessness achieve and maintain permanent housing in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Peace Lutheran Church has participated in past years, opening our church for two weeks out of the year to provide housing and meals for up to five families.

Hilltop Action Coalition

A community-based coalition in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma working to mobilize and empower diverse individuals, families, businesses, and other public and community organizations to build a safe, clean, healthy, dynamic, united community.

Hilltop Urban Gardens

Hilltop Urban Gardens (HUG) is a community-based urban agriculture, justice, and equity organization based in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma. HUG partners with the community to grow healthy food and to create a healthy community.

Living Stones Prison Congregation

Ministry partner and Lutheran congregation sharing the gospel of Jesus behind the walls of Shelton’s Washington Corrections Center.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest

A nonprofit human services agency serving individuals, families, and communities throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our caring staff provides a wide variety of services to adults, adolescents, children, families, schools, businesses, congregations, neighborhoods and communities. We are privileged to touch the lives of people of all ages, cultures and faiths.

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service

LIRS works with migrants and refugees, U.S. Lutherans, and many partners in service and justice to accomplish its mission. Refugees are resettled through a network of 28 local organizations in 26 states (including Washington), most of which are Lutheran social ministry organizations.

Southwestern Washington Synod, ELCA

This synod is comprised of 87 congregations (including Peace Lutheran) in an area spanning from Federal Way to the Washington-Oregon border and from the Cascades to the Pacific Ocean.

Tacoma Ministerial Alliance

A network of Christian leaders in Tacoma from predominantly African American churches and community partners working together to offer biblical, civic, and professional involvement for addressing social issues of interest in our local community.
